J Lo's Style

So, wow. It's been forever. But I watched American Idol last night (which I actually haven't watched since like season 2) but I could not get enough of J Lo's hair and makeup! She's gorgeous and in the one shot where she was wearing that super cute black polka dot dress, her big bun and pretty makeup was just awesome. Since I couldn't get enough, I attempted to try it out for myself.

For her big bun, I do not have as much hair as she does-hopefully one day when it completely grows out this will be easier, but for now I used this awesome sock bun tutorial by Three Pink Dots. So easy and it worked really well!

Her makeup was simple, elegant. I couldn't find a better picture of her from the show, but she had a pretty rose colored eyeshadow and pretty matte finish pink lipstick. Her eyelashes were very dramatic. I just used a combo of some light pink and peach eyeshadows I had lying around (they were from like Forever 21 and the Icing, so nothing super fancy!) Then for my lips I used Colour Riche Balm by Loreal in Nourishing Nude (818) and for my eyelashes a combo of Loreal Million Lashes, Maybelline's One by One and Falsies mascaras. Lined the bottom of my eyes with a little bit of brown Covergirl eyeliner (but actually it was just left-over from yesterday's makeup-so I didn't really, but lightly line the bottom with a brown liner). And Violla!
